I have already searched for issues with this Intel Wireless adapter and can not find any solutions to make this perform to its capability. I have an intel dual band wireless ac-3165 that intermittently disconnects from WiFi I am running Windows 10 Home 64 bit on an HP Envy 15-ah150sa and my internet keeps randomly disconnecting. Is this an indication why I am not able to get the full capability from the Intel Wrieless and it is a driver issue? I checked the properties of the Intel Wireless and looked at the Advanced section which seems to indicate only 802.11 a/b/g/n and no ac. I already contacted Intel by phone and did a series of troubleshooting with no improvement at all so I was told to contact HP. In additon, I decided to run the HP notebook on the 2Ghz band to see the performance which was nearly the same performance as on the 5Ghz band. The results shows the HP notebook and Dell Latitude which avgs at 60/50 and the Macbook Pro avgs 100/100 where both were at 802.11ac on 5GHz band. I have ran speed tests comparing this HP notebook, Dell Latitude 7000 and the Macbook Pro within my home and 1 floor below where the router is located. I have Verizon FIOS which is 100/100 and on their Quantum Gateway router. I have a Star Wars Special Edition Notebook that came with an Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-3165.
